  • Abstract
In order to efficiently construct and manage a ring network it is important to clarify the functions of the network element operations system (NE-OpS) and the network operations system (NW-OpS), provide a subnetwork view to the NW-OpS from the NE-OpS, and select a standardized and unified interface (Q3) between them to introduce add/drop multiplexers (ADM) ring systems supplied by multiple vendors.
