Abstract :
The Virtual University Research Initiative on Mobility (VURI) is a UK based collaborative research project, which has looked at a wide range of topics and issues in the mobile radio and mobility area over several years. The collaboration consists of academics from different institutions together with British Telecom (BT) researchers. The four British universities currently involved: Birmingham, Oxford, Bristol and UMIST (The University of Science and Technology in Manchester) have specific, yet complimentary expertise in a wide range of mobility related areas. This expertise has enabled the VURI to produce over fifty conference and journal papers covering a wide range of topics
