Abstract :
Partial transmit sequence (PTS) scheme is one of the distortionless PAPR reduction scheme in multicarrier systems. The conventional PTS scheme exploits the frequency-domain phase rotation to generate low PAPR candidate signal, however it suffers from both high complexity and side information (SI). This paper proposes a time-domain PTS scheme without SI for single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) system, where the phase rotation is recovered during channel estimation aided by pilots. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme provides similar PAPR and channel estimation performance compared with the conventional scheme, but without SI.
