Abstract :
The authors present their work on CELP coders at 4.8 kb/s, using the recently selected US Government standard as a reference. They propose some alternatives and tradeoffs between perceptual quality, complexity, delay, and storage memory. Some post-processing techniques were also tried in order to improve the perceptual quality of the synthesized signal
