    A general expression for M-DPPM (digital pulse position modulation) power spectral density is presented. From it, conditions for the existence of symbol and slot discrete frequency components (important for receiver timing synchronization) are indicated. Bandwidth requirement comparison of several DPPM schemes having a rectangular pulse shape is carried out
