  • Abstract
Assistance to patients at hospitals and nursing homes often encounters problems related to obtaining information on the current needs of the patient. Traditionally, patient informs hospital stuff by wire and wireless paging systems. Wireless Paging Systems allow one to overcome the limitations of their wire counterparts, which include high installation costs (cabling) and lack of patient mobility. The main difference between presented Wireless Paging System and its counterparts at the market is the number of information medical personnel may receive. Information about the condition of patients throughout the facility via radio transmitters is collected in a database and displayed directly on the touch panel of the PC workstation. The system is fully scalable allowing thousands of patients to be served by medical personnel.
