Abstract
The potentiality of metal oxide catalyst for the simultaneous removal of soot and NOx has been investigated by using temperature programmed reaction (TPR) technique. The metal oxides of Cr, Mn and Co exhibit high activities. The contact between catalyst and soot has an important effect on soot oxidation and NOx reduction. The effect of contact on simultaneous removal of soot and NOx decreases when catalyst promotes to form NO2.
