Abstract
In this paper, for the problem of spatial correlation and frequency correlation of targets echoes in receiving channels of diversity MIMO radar, based on two-dimensional scatter model in polar coordination system, correlation coefficient and independent condition of radar target echoes in spatial and frequency diversity receiving channels are developed, indicating that for round shaped scatter model targets with scatters intensity isotropic and i.i.d zero-mean distributed, its spatial correlation and frequency correlation are unified. Therefore in view point of target detection, spatial diversity technique and frequency technique in MIMO radar are equivalent. The correlation coefficient is rectified by numerical experiment.
