Abstract :
Since recently, increasing attention has been given to soil organic carbon, because of the global change that exacerbates environmental problems and endangers human sustainability. In the black soil region of northeastern China, the SOC character of 7 profiles with 5 kinds of land use was studied. The results indicated that, the varied degree of SOC content for every profile is different, and coefficient of variation Cv ranged between 0.1318-0.4317. For SOC content of topsoil, the highest value was appeared in the meadow land. In general, SOC content in the undisturbed land is higher than in the cultivated in this study. Moreover, along with the soil depth, a decreasing trend of SOC content was found. Owing to the soil layer thickness of cropland in the bottom of slope and waterlogged land, their SOC density are the highest.
