  • Abstract
    We measure the impact of nonlinearities when upgrading a 10 Gb/s system with 40 Gb/s and 100 Gb/s coherent QPSK channels. The results suggest that the dominant impairment is specific to polarization multiplexed coherent systems, namely cross-polarization modulation.
