Abstract :
The films of poly (3, 4-ethylenedioxythiophene) immobilized Choline oxidase (PEDOTICo) were prepared by the method of electrochemical polymerization (MEP) and chemical polymerization (MCP). The difference of the property of the both films was characterized by XPS-. IR and UV-Vis spectrum techniques. Result shows that the activity of the PEDOTICo film obtained from MEP is higher than the other film. The apparent peaks of nitrogen located at 397.7 eV and 401.1 eV in the film of PEDOTICo prepared by MEP ascribed to nitrogen atom of Chox linked to H and C were observed. But only one peak of nitrogen located at 401.1 eV in the film of PEDOTICo was obtained for the MCP. The results from IR and UV-Vis spectrum techniques were also discussed in the paper. So in a conclusion, we can safely draw that the method of electrochemical polymerization is more suit to prepare PEDOTICo film than that of chemical polymerization.
