Abstract :
This paper illustrates how the protection requirements of industrial plant (whose definition is taken very widely) can be analysed according to a set of principles and how risk analysis shows the susceptible components and systems, as described in BS 6651:1992 Appendix C. The paper discusses lightning protection of electronic systems, building to building data links, and the power supply
