  • Abstract
P-TOSCA portability is applied to transfer an application from one cloud provider to another. This paper presents an implementation of the P-TOSCA portability model, by specifying a corresponding topology and execution plan to a typical transaction-based eBay Finder SOA application, followed by a deployment procedure on a PaaS platform. The application topology uses specially defined types, templates and artifacts, which present essential information for application deployment and configuration. The execution plan defines the lifecycle management of services, specifying execution of several actions. Although, the portability demo was tested to transfer an application between Eucalyptus and OpenStack clouds, it can be used for automated transfer between any PaaS supporting open standards and enabling P-TOSCA application specification.
