  • Abstract
An ultrasonic array for endoscopic application in medicine and nondestructive testing is described. The device is a circular array consisting of more than 80 strip elements. The diameter of the array is 10 mm. The frequency is about 5-7.5 MHz. Principles of the circular array and calculation of the broadband sound field are discussed. The construction of the probe, which is made of a piezoceramic tube mounted on a ceramic cylinder and diced into small elements, is described
