Abstract :
Facing the fierce competition at home and abroad, the Chinese clothing enterprises´ should not only improve their innovative ability and brand reputations, but also know well about their competitors and the whole fashion industry, if they want to survive and develop in today´s global market. Ecommerce platforms and the Competitive Intelligence Systems (CIS) can provide the most effective means for them to get such useful information. However, despite the fact that most small and medium-sized Chinese clothing enterprises have begun to use clothing e-commerce platforms to release or get supply-demand information, most of them have a lot of difficulties building their own competitive intelligence systems for human or financial reasons. This paper is based on a study which is designed to establish a seamless connection between the clothing e-commerce systems and the Competitive Intelligence Systems in order to provide an integrated platform of e-commerce and competitive intelligence system for the small and medium-sized enterprises so that they can make efficient and right decisions.
