Abstract
Software development is a complex activity which demands a series of factors to be controlled and in order for this to be controlled in an effective manner by project management, it is necessary to use software process measurement to identify problems and to consider improvements. This paper presents a mapping of five measurement processes: CMMI-SW, ISO/EC 15939, IEEE Std 1061, Six Sigma and PSM, witch aim to investigate the similarities and the gaps among these approaches along with the focus on software projects
