Abstract :
Summary from only given, as follows. This paper presents the Integral equation method for calculating the electromagnetic forces acting on the end windings of large turbine generators in 3D systematically, which is very suitable for handling complex and winding and surface geometry. The electromagnetic forces on the end windings of a 600 MW turbine generator have been calculated and the results under symmetric, asymmetric, suddenly short-circuit, and various power factors, including the leading power factor, are also obtained. Some important conclusions are derived. Figures of the calculating force distribution are also given in the paper.
