Abstract :
This article describes a system for telemetric assessment of heart rate variability, which is used as a sensitive index of cardiovascular autonomic reactivity. The evaluation of heart rate variability is performed in time and frequency domain, i.e. both by Ewing´s battery of cardiovascular tests and by short-term spectral analysis. Stress is given on standardization of the examination processes. Further on, the necessity to unify, the evaluated indices, parameters and characteristics, that enable comparison of obtained results, both in research and in clinical practice, is emphasized as well. The article presents examples of autonomic nervous system examinations during various load situations. The possibility of encoded data transport among users via Internet to help in easy communication and consultation between research and clinical centers is described
