Abstract :
A 4-GHz output multiplexer which significantly reduces the size and weight of satellite transponders is described. The multiplexer utilizes dielectrically loaded cavities, mounted and tuned in a novel way to increase power handling up to 80 W per channel. A coaxial T-junction coupled manifold eases tuning and results in a very small and light multiplexer unit.<>
