  • Abstract
Treatment effects in vibratory stress relief (VSR) are closely related to dynamic stresses. In order to analyze the dynamic stresses generated by VSR through the vibration platform, the finite element analysis (FEA) is proposed. For the numerical model established in ANSYS, contacts are considered to deal with touching behaviors. Firstly, the modal analysis is carried out in detail. Then, the harmonic analysis is conducted on the basis of dynamic characteristics results. The dynamic strain results can be provided as an aid. The dynamic stresses which demonstrate to be affected by vibration frequency and exciting force are finally studied. To validate the analysis, experimental modal analysis and strain gauges experiment are performed. The results of FEA are proved to be in accord with the experimental ones. Therefore, a powerful and efficient method for VSR implementation is achieved.
