Test anxiety is one of the familiar negative emotions in high school students. As a type of performance anxiety, test anxiety refers to a feeling someone might have in a situation where performance really counts or when the pressure´s on to do well. The excessive and perennial test anxiety is harmful to the psychological and physical health of high school students. This study probes into the relationship among personality trait, achievement goal, and test anxiety in high school students. It was found that high school students´ achievement goals affected test anxiety directly. Personality trait also impacted test anxiety indirectly through achievement objective. Achievement goals had mediating effect between personality trait and test anxiety in high school students.
