Abstract :
The article consists of a Powerpoint presentation on silicon. The areas discussed include: nonlinear silicon photonics, low-cost Ethernet, SONET components, optical interconnects, Raman approach to silicon amplifiers and lasers, free carrier absorption, pulsed operation, coherent anti-stokes coupling.
