Abstract :
We propose a primary color overlapping method for increasing the brightness of projection system. It consists of a projected optical system based on 0.55 inch diagonal digital micro mirror device panel and a red, green, blue LED light source. This color overlapping method synthesized secondary colors of yellow and cyan instead of primary colors of red, green, and blue. By our method, the brightness of projected image was improved about 30 percent compared to a non-color overlapping method in a projection system with LED.
