Abstract :
The noise performance of high-order log-domain filters in the presence of an input signal is investigated. It is shown that class AB log-domain filters behave like distributed companding systems. The results are extended to a 3rd-order Chebyshev filter and are in good agreement with measurements of a BiCMOS implementation
