Abstract
CSCW is computer supported cooperative work in which it is important to recognize if one belongs to a certain group. This paper introduces the identity authentication technology based on fingerprint recognition to authenticate the identity of an individual or a group member, which prevents them from being decrypted and counterfeited easily comparing with traditional ways. It stresses identity authentication of group member and adopts three kinds of security mechanisms efficient than traditional ways: security on client, networks transmission encryption and validation. The efficiencies are validation distributed on client and server, faster data matching, and data consistency without being considered.
