Abstract
We demonstrate cascaded electroabsorption-modulator-based optoelectronic oscillators (EAM-OEOs) for generating millimeter-wave signals. Low phase-noise frequency quadrupling is achieved by optically injecting 10-GHz-rate pulses from a master EAM-OEO to a 40 GHz slave EAM-OEO.
