Abstract :
The Rubber-Insulating Glove was patented in 1933. One of rubber´s adherent properties is the insulation characteristics protecting an apparatus or human from exposure to electric current. A person who is insulated with proper rubber barrier from an electric energy source eliminates the potential of being energized themselves. If one is not energized then one cannot reach ground potential, thus alleviating electric shock. A rubber-insulating glove is utilized as a primary barrier to protect against exposure to electric current.
