Abstract
The authors discuss the problems of fraudulent use of cellular networks, and in particular, the detection and management of cellular clone fraud, a new and fast-developing form of fraud with potentially large impact on carrier revenues. They discuss the problem, industry-proposed solutions, and the utility of knowledge-based techniques for detecting cellular clone fraud and managing it by recommending appropriate fraud-containment actions
