Abstract
For the naval vessel power system, a layer-coordinated protection strategy is proposed which provides longitudinal differential protection for the transmission network and intelligent protection for the distribution network. In relation to the intelligent protection device principle prototype, the hardware-in-loop system is established based on Hypersim real-time software system. Real-time experiments are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the layer-coordinated protection strategy proposed. The results denote that the strategy can achieve a rapid and exact fault detection and isolation and can ensure good power-supply continuity of the naval vessel power system.
