Abstract :
Based on the method of distributed power control, a MAC protocol used for underwater acoustic sensor networks (UW-ASN) has been proposed in this paper. It dynamically controls and adjusts data transmission power to overcome near-far problem in the networks adopting multiple access technique of CDMA. And it also improves traditional handshake mechanism to achieve high throughput and low energy consumption. Simulation results show that the performance of this new MAC protocol is more excellent than traditional MAC protocols.
