Abstract :
The adaptive fuzzy sliding mode control is applied to the electrode regulator system of arc furnace, and the detailed design procedure of the fuzzy sliding mode control system is presented. The adaptive fuzzy control is utilized to approach the equivalent control of sliding mode control, and then the adaptive law is derived. The discontinuous control, which guarantees the stability of control system, is developed; another fuzzy controller is employed to smooth the discontinuous control. The results of simulation show that this proposed arithmetic of control can restrain the disturbance of arc length effectively, and has a stronger robustness, accordingly obtains better dynamic characteristics.
