Abstract
Water quality evaluation involves a number of indicators. Indicator weights based on different methods directly affects the result of water quality evaluation. On the other hand, “excellent” or “bad” water quality is a fuzzy concept, so how to describe the fuzzy concept well is an important problem needing to solve in the water quality evaluation. For two problems above, in this paper, binary comparison method to determine weights based on the engineering fuzzy set theory is applied to determine water quality evaluation indicator weights. At the same time, fuzzy pattern recognition model on the basis of this theory is used to evaluate water quality. Combining with the Jiansanjiang water quality evaluation, this paper discusses the specific application of fuzzy set theory in the process of water quality evaluation, and achieves a more satisfactory evaluation result.
