  • Abstract
Cascading trips caused by flow transferring is the crucial causation of many well-known blackouts. This paper confirms the research object and proposes he prerequisite of flow transferring identification. According to the basic characteristics of the fault dynamic process, this paper proposes a flow transferring identification scheme based on local information. The scheme does not rely on communication and makes a fast conclusion. It also considers the factors including system oscillation, evolved faults, converted faults and so on, which affect the result of flow transferring identification. It is quite suitable for asymmetrical flow transferring identification. PSCAD/EMTDC simulation results show the effectiveness of the scheme.
