Abstract
Effects of a high-speed pulse with rise time (quadratic-linear-quadratic transition) on crosstalk along microstrip transmission lines are investigated. Closed form analysis equations for coupled microstrip lines have been used to calculate the crosstalk transfer function. The substrate loss, line loss, line thickness correction factor, and cover plate correction factor are included in the calculation. The simple closed form expressions of crosstalk in this paper are given in a form such that they can be implemented easily on a desktop computer or a programmable pocket calculator
