Abstract
Baseline drift is one of the important factors that affect the detection signals. At present it is very difficult to obtain ideal effect using many methods which filter baseline drift in the signal of brain blood stream in the process of measurement. In this paper a new method to remove baseline drift in the signal of brain blood stream was presented based on the cubic spline interpolation theory. Firstly, we detect some characteristic points in the original signal, and then fit the drifting baseline based on the cubic spline interpolation theory. Finally the original signal minus the baseline is the steady signal of brain blood stream. We had done some simulation experiments and lots of clinical tests, and removed perfectly the baseline drift in LabVIEW software program. Once the method to remove baseline drift is put into practice, its effect is good and its speed is fast, and it is easy to carry out .It has great application in brain wave monitor with embedded CPU and real time character, and it is also applied in other signal detectors.
