  • Abstract
    A medical system based on wireless sensor network technology is established. Firstly, the structure of a two-tiered wireless sensor network based on embedded Web Server for collecting and analyzing medical examination data is presented. Then the designs of the software and hardware systems of the wireless physiological sensor node and the physiological base station (sink node) are presented. The wireless communication between the sensor nodes, the sink nodes and remote central server are connected in one of the following ways, including Internet, GSM(Global System of Mobile Communications) short message, and telephone modem. The idea of this work is to make an assistant tool for doctors to diagnose the diseases and help the patients easier. This system can be used at home or in hospitals to form a remote medical system among home, community and hospital.
