Abstract
SPICE is a critical aid in the design of mixed signal analogue/digital integrated circuits. However when SPICE is used to simulate complete a device or system it is not able to converge. This problem can be avoided by using smooth input signals and by forcing very small time steps at critical times during the simulation. This methodology achieves fast and accurate simulations of the complete device including parasitic bondwire/lead-frame inductors and substrate coupling
