Abstract :
The SAR distribution in the human eye due to high-frequency electromagnetic (EM) fields has been presented. The analysis has been performed with several-step numerical techniques by using an accurate model of the eye developed from MRI image scans. Advantages of using this approach to calculate EM field human body interaction parameters are: there is no possibility of damage or health hazards to investigated individuals; the same model of the region of interest can be used for different monitoring scenarios; the selected calculation method does not require powerful computer systems and is functional on standard personal computers; and the procedure can be repeated on different human individuals when it is necessary to determine parameters for a given population and to set safety standards.
