Abstract
Considering the characteristic of user distribution and access type, a planning algorithm for PON and WiMAX convergence network in urban district is proposed, which can minimize the total deployment cost and achieve the optimal planning result. The numerical results reveal that the proposed convergence algorithm performances better than planning wired and wireless network separately, and better than the common fiber deployment method in urban district.
