Abstract
We describe in this work a procedure for generating a family of canonical prototypes for multiport filtering networks, starting from the transversal canonical prototype. The coupling matrix of the forms generated is be also obtained by applying a suitable algorithm based on Matrix Rotations. Using these tools, a multiplexer synthesized with the star-junction topology can be transformed into a new form, where there are no longer n 2-port filters connected to a common port. The synthesis of a duplexer with a new topology illustrates the procedure developed.
