Abstract :
Most of industrial garbage, such as mirrors, tiles and foams had strong capacity of reflectance. Invasion of Iva xanthifolia was usually accompanied with municipal industrial garbage including plenty of reflected materials. Those reflected garbage might accelerate the invasive pace. In this text, we researched how reflected light from reflected garbage effect on photosynthetic capacity of Iva xanthifolia. An increased photosynthetic rate was observed in the reflected environment. The results also showed that it was a significant increase in thickness of abaxial sponge tissue, and even changed the structure. Abaxial sponge tissues becoming into palisade tissues and increase of carotenoid content could contribute to increase of photosynthetic capacity. High leaf-level plasticity and environment of reflected garbage might accelerate invasion of Iva xanthifolia.
