Abstract :
High resolution image processing require high end computing facility and mass data storage which is not feasible on a single computer. Grid infrastructure is the suitable computing platform to meet the computational requirement for the analysis in real time. However, the involvement of low level technical details is the main cause of its relatively poor acceptance by the scientific community. Our work is an attempt to bridge this gap between the technology and its users. This paper focuses on the development of an easy-to-use toolkit for the image processing researchers. This toolkit provides the users with operations like edge detection, image enhancement, frequency domain analysis, segmentation etc. on high resolution images on Grid computing platform through an easy-to-use interface. We have also made an attempt to expose these tools as services.
