Abstract :
MMIC technology is the key to making microwave and millimetre-wave transceivers affordable for widespread use in applications such as wireless data communications, and micro/pico-cellular mobile communications. Active filters could have an important part to play in the miniaturisation of handheld terminals and advanced satellite payloads for mobile systems. This paper describes and compares three techniques which have been used for the realisation of MMIC active filters operating in the 1-2 GHz region. The advantages and disadvantages of these active filters are discussed
