Abstract :
Based on the analysis of structural characteristics of Chinese characters, a hierarchical attributed relational representation for Chinese characters is proposed. This representation is structurally stable to different fonts or even hand-printed Chinese characters. Based on the representation, a radical extraction method is presented. This approach solves the radical extraction problem by searching subgraph isomorphism or E-subgraph matching
