Abstract
Time domain analysis is a powerful tool for noncoherent testing of A/D converters. This situation is encountered for instance in real application systems where the clock is generated by an onboard crystal oscillator. However, the estimation problem is nonlinear with respect to the frequency which raises the convergence problem. To overcome this difficulty, we propose an alternate method based on the MUSIC frequency estimator which leads to a linear problem simplifying its resolution. The effectiveness of this method is proven on both simulations and experimental results.
