Abstract :
The discharge currents from PET capacitors manifest non-linear characteristics in the semi-log plots against time. In general, discharge currents from dielectric capacitors are associated with the relaxation of dipolar polarization, however, the non-linearity in the discharge currents means that the type of relaxation process is not a simple one but a complex one in PET capacitors. Two kinds of discharge characteristics have been observed: in the high temperature range above 80°C, the non-linearity is enhanced at high temperature, while in the low temperature range, it is enhanced at low temperature
