Abstract :
A frequency-hopped spread-spectrum multiple-access communication system with Reed-Solomon code is considered and the method to maximize the throughput by jointly optimizing the RS code rate and number of users is studied. The conclusions show that if only considering its normalized throughput, by optimizing the FHSS-MA network can work as well as the general multiple-access communication system adopting the pure ALOHA or slotted ALOHA protocol
