Abstract :
We demonstrate a new architecture of a dual-stage L-band amplifier with gain improvements using a seeding signal technique. In this design, a seeding signal is self-generated utilizing a ring-laser in the first stage. The unused backward ASE has been efficiently utilized in both stages and has improved the L-band performances
