We can basically summarize 3 different approaches for 10 Gb/s multimode fibre transmissions. 1. 4-channel WDM at 2.5 Gb/s. 2. 2-channel WDM at 5 Gb/s. 3. Single-channel at 10 Gb/s. The third approach can achieve the best distance-bit rate product performance
