Abstract :
An international team of researchers led by NASA´s Jet Propulsion Laboratory have developed high-power monolithic fi bre-pigtailed semiconductor laser modules operating around 2.05 μm. This has the potential to improve the complexity, reliability and power efficiency of space and airborne lidar transmitter architectures used in atmospheric sensing systems.
